Anna Silk was born in Fredericton as the child of Peter Silk, an academic, and Ilkay Silk, a multi-talented actress director, producer, playwright, educator, as well as Director of Drama in St. Thomas University. Anna Silk is the child of a Briton and the son of a Turkish Cypriot English ex-pat. In her early years, Anna appeared on several television commercials. Anna was transferred to Toronto in November of 1999, to further her acting career. She eventually settled down at Los Angeles (California) over the next ten years. Seth Cooperman, whom she met at an Los Angeles actors' workshop back in 2007, became her husband in the year 2009. Anna has since converted to Judaism in the year before and Seth Cooperman got married in December 2010 in Fredericton. In April 2011 the couple renew their vows in a Jewish ceremony.
