Arianna Huffington

Arianna Stassinopoulos Huffington resides in the United States and is a Greek-American author, syndicated writer of columns as well as a businesswoman. She is the author of fifteen books, and she is co-founder the magazine The Huffington Post. Arianna Huffington is an author TV personality, philanthropist, and the owner of the independent liberal online news magazine The Huffington Post. Her birthplace was in Greece and moved to England at the age of 16. In Cambridge University, she graduated with a MA in Economics. In her 21st year, she was president of the renowned debate club The Cambridge Union' and was the first foreign born student to do so. Her popularity as a conservative columnist was consolidated after she completed her studies. After the launch of The Huffington Post a few years later, she created an online platform for voice that gave an honest assessment of the current political situation. Her celebrity status helped her in getting several high-profile contributors to publish their thoughts on politics news and culture. Arianna gained fame in 2003 when she decided to contest independently during the California recall vote to succeed the then governor Davis. Arianna was also part of a Detroit-based project that promoted cars that are fuel efficient. Forbes listed her as one of one of the "most powerful women" in the media industry, placing her at 12th. Guardian placed her on their list of 100 top media personalities in 2009. AOL Inc. made her the President of their media division in 2011, after they purchased The Huffington Post. The Huffington Post was joined by additional AOL brands such as Engadget AOLmusic Style list or Patch Media. She was the daughter of journalist and manager Konstantinos as well as his spouse Elli Stasinopoulos. Her life was shaped by the closeness she had to her mother and her bond with her father, despite her being very close to her father. At an early age, she displayed leadership qualities which are still widely admired. In the year she turned sixteen, she left America to the United Kingdom and enrolled Girton College Cambridge. While in college, she joined Cambridge Union's debate societies in the college where she eventually became its first foreign female president. She graduated in 1972 with an honorary degree in Economics. The career of a journalist and television host was born after graduation. Additionally, she starred with Bernard Levin in an episode of Face the music and started making books with the editorial services of Bernard Levin.
