Harry Edward Styles (also known as Harry Styles in the music world) is an British composer and singer. Harry Styles was one among the founders of One Direction. Based in Holmes Chapel in Cheshire England Styles is the son of Des Styles & Anne Cox. Harry Styles studied at the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School, in which he started his own band, composed of 3 schoolmates, which he called White Eskimo. They won the 2009 Battle of Bands thanks to the excellent presentation they gave. Even though he had always expressed an interest in the music world however, despite his love in it, he also wanted to become a lawyer and physical therapist. Working part-time in a local bakery in his early occupation to make money for his family. Harry Styles, in 2010, auditioned to be on The X Factor. His single Is not She Lovely was performed by Stevie Wonder. That's why his group broke up. Nicole Scherzinger was the judge who suggested Harry Styles to be part the group that would later be called One Direction, along with Liam Payne Zayn malik Niall Horan Louis Tomlinson. Simon Cowell sponsored five teenagers to create the group in the year 2010. They sang the Kelly Clarkson song My Life Would Be Sucky without You and Bonnie Tyler's Total Eclipse of the Heart during the contest, which helped them become one of the frontrunners to win the competition. They came third, just behind Rebecca Ferguson. Harry Styles, his group as well as Cowell were not able to get the win in the contest. However Cowell gave Harry Styles a 2 million dollar contract with Syco.
